chuk bi phng (glutinous rice)


last min decision to make this.. my friend's confinement lady made this the other day and i recalled mum made it before so i asked mum teach me how to do make it..


basically the ingredients are glutinous rice, groundnuts, chinese mushrooms, dried shrimps, garlic and shallots.. seasoning includes dark soya sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and salt..

the ingredients are pretty simple but it's time-consuming cos u gotta soak the stuff a while before slicing and mincing them..

the taste is not bad.. but i took really long to steam it.. i guess it's better to soak the glutinous rice overnight prior to cooking it.. i only soaked it for 3 hours so i steamed the rice for like 1.5 hours!
