Coffee Flavoured Cookies


Tried this at the request of a friend.. replaced 2 tbsp of flour with 2 tbsp of instant coffee powder..

Piped Cookies


This uses the same recipe as the swirl cookies..  except i piped the dough into flowers.. not as nice as i expected it to be.. the swirl pattern looks nicer..

Swirl Biscuits

I know it looks nothing like the original but I'll try piping with a 2D tip next time.. hopefully I'll be able to get the same pretty rose shape!

Actually the biscuit tasted better after it turned browner.. the baked pink cookies you see in the pictures above, i felt were slightly undone.. so i popped them into the oven again for another 5 mins till they turn slightly tanned (last 2 pictures).. it tasted better though not as visually appealing as before..

Happy Lunar New Year!!



Bake one lot of cookies yesterday and 3 lots today.. More than 600 cookies baked in total.. KO-ed after spending 6 hours in the kitchen today.. zzz...

The last time i baked THIS much was probably about 4 years ago.. gosh.. hope they like the cookies :)

Chocolate Chip Cookies w Chopped Walnuts

German Green Tea Butter Cookies


This cookie literally melts in your mouth! it's THAT soft, melty and fragile...

Ingredients
250g butter (i used salted butter)
80g icing sugar (sifted)
250g potato starch
100g plain flour
1 tsp (or more) green tea powder

Method
1. Beat butter and icing sugar till well combined.
2. Sift in potato starch and plain flour. Mix well.
3. Divide batter into 2.
4. In one batter, add in the green tea powder and mix well.
5. Take some dough from each batter, roll into a ball and lightly press it on a baking tray.
6. Bake in a pre-heated oven 170C for 20 minutes.

Note: You can replace green tea powder with cocoa powder.
